Swim under a waterfall in Grenada

Take the 45-minute trail through the rainforest to the Seven Sisters Falls, where you can swim in the refreshingly cold water and enjoy the stunning scenery. The guide will drop you off at the start of the hike and (thankfully!) be there at the end to bring you home.

Take the train in St Kitts

The old railway was built between 1912 and 1926 and used to ferry the sugar cane to the factory in the capital city of Basseterre. The Scenic Railway ride is a three-hour circular route, with 18 miles on the narrow-gauge train and then the remaining 12 miles on sightseeing buses. A wonderful way to see the island.

Drink Blue Mountain coffee in Jamaica

The Blue Mountains are directly north of Kingston and, while the trek up to the peaks will take a few hours, it’s worth every step: when you get to Whitfield Hall coffee farm and lodge you can enjoy some of the best coffee in the world.

Zip wire in St Lucia

Get closer to nature in the most thrilling way possible by taking a zip wire through the forest canopy, 30-50ft above the ground, on 500ft runs of cable. Children must be a minimum of eight years old to participate and all equipment is provided.

Join a turtle watch in Nevis

Hawksbill and leatherback turtles bury their eggs on the Nevis beach. Montpelier Plantation Inn will organise this captivating nighttime trip from July to mid-August.

Gaze at the stars in Antigua

Jumby Bay Resort has a resident astronomer, David Stubbs, who hosts star-gazing evenings on the beach. A fascinating way to end your day.
