Completely refurbished deluxe rooms and junior suites ooze with class and elegance, and the lavish Grace Bay & Morris Bay suites are considered the best and most sumptuous on the island, and arguably in the Caribbean. A resort built for the family, as the children can learn to sail, swim or partake in any of the other water sports on offer, while mum and dad can relax on the beach or treat themselves at the excellent spa.
Boasting 3 tennis tournaments every year, featuring the likes of Fred Stolle, Ross Case and Davis Cup champion Dick Stockton, as well as the world-famous Antigua Sailing Week. Taking place at the end of April, the sailing week was created by the hotel’s late owner Howard Hulford. Earlier in the month during the Antigua Classic Regatta, over 100 beautifully historic yachts sail past the hotel and the bluff.
A charitable resort as well, the hotel’s Old Road Fund helps to raise money for the local community and for teen camps in the US, as well as clothes, equipment and scholarships. Housed below Curtain Bluff lies one of the finest and extensive wine cellars in the Caribbean – over 25,000 bottles!

Beach Front Ground Floor Junior Suites

- Located just a stone’s throw from the water on the resort’s surf beach are our 17 ground floor junior suites.
- The serene interiors are outfitted in soft blues and greens that mirror the adjacent water, which glitters through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Grand marble and white-tile bathrooms feature double sinks, expansive soaking tubs and large, open-walled showers.
Beach Front Upper Level Junior Suites
Sleeps up to 4 people
- Accessible via a flight of stairs, our 23 junior suites are situated on the second and third stories of two villas on the resort’s surf beach.
- Coastal interiors inspired by our natural surroundings are bordered by floor-to-ceiling glass doors that invite you to take in the sea views from your private terrace. Roomy bathrooms feature double sinks, large tubs, and open-walled rainforest-style showers.
- Our junior suites contain one king bed, which can be converted to two twin beds. Maximum occupancy is four persons.
Beach Front Ground Floor Deluxe Room

On the Bluff- One Bedroom Suite
- Overlooking our surf beach from their perch atop the bluff are our five one- and two-bedroom bluff suites.
- These light and airy rooms are split across three spacious levels outfitted with natural wood and sea-grass furniture.
- The three-walled living room offers the best of indoor-outdoor living, opening onto a garden patio with relaxing hammock where you’ll enjoy dozing off to the sound of the waves.
- Upstairs, you’ll find a breakfast nook and dining terrace, beyond which is the bedroom with an en-suite bath and adjoining oceanfront patio.
On the Bluff- Bluff Room
- Experience blufftop luxury from the comfort of our newly renovated bluff rooms.
- Each room features a king-size bed, freestanding tub, large terrace with daybed and incredible views of the turquoise waters below.
- For families requiring two bedrooms, the bluff room can be added to a one-bedroom bluff suite.
The Hulford Collection- Grace and Morris Bay Suites
- This pair of generously scaled suites occupies the third floor of a Caribbean-style villa directly on the sands of the resort’s surf beach.
- Both suites are luxuriously outfitted with blue-marble bathrooms, colonial furniture, richly colored fabrics and lush palms.
- The bedroom and adjoining living room open onto a sweeping veranda with lounge chairs and a private plunge pool, the perfect site for private sunbathing or romantic cocktails under the stars.
- The Grace & Morris Bay suites can be linked to a junior suite to create a two-bedroom suite. Extended groups and families can reserve the entire floor (four bedrooms).
The Hulford Collection- Terrace Suite
- The terrace suite’s secluded location at the top of the bluff and breathtaking views of the sea below make it the most popular choice for newlyweds.

The Hulford Collection- Cliffe Suite
- Tucked into the hillside, our cliff suite features a spacious living room that opens onto a large patio with an infinity soaking pool and unobstructed views of Grace Bay beach.
- Its separate bedroom is elegantly appointed with a king-size bed, marble bathroom and second terrace overlooking the surf beach.

The Tamarind Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner daily, while the Seagrape Restaurant serves lunch and dinner. The library overlooking the gardens serves afternoon tea. We serve all meals a la carte, and we require reservations for each meal.
The Tamarind Tree
- Start your day with a shaded breakfast set to the pace of the gentle sea breeze at our central restaurant, the Tamarind. The menu includes traditional favorites like banana pancakes, French toast and eggs benedict, plus traditional island dishes, fresh juice, fruit and baked goods prepared in house by our renowned pastry chef. In the evening, dinner tables awash in candlelight are set with a rotating five-course menu including salads, locally caught fish, outstanding meats, and so many desserts they have their own menu. After the meal, diners filter onto the terrace for dancing to live music and stargazing under the moonlight. Daytime service is casual attire. At dinner, slacks (no jeans) and a collared shirt with dress shoes are required for gentlemen. For ladies, denim shorts are not permitted.
The Sea Grape
- At the far end of the bay beach, right on the sand and tickled by near-constant sea breezes, is the Seagrape. This open-air establishment serves up an expansive daily lunch offering (including our weekly beach barbecue accompanied by a steel-drum band). Bento box service is available to your cabana on the beach or by the pool from 12pm to 4 pm. Seagrape offers dinner several nights per week. Dinner fare is an inventive blend of Italian and Antiguan influences with dishes like yellowtail tuna carpaccio, beetroot gnocchi and fresh-caught pan-seared wahoo filet. In the evenings, we recommend that gentlemen wear smart shorts and collared shirts. We do not permit ladies to wear denim shorts.

- Our excellent house wines are included alongside other alcoholic beverages in the room rate. For those aficionados looking for a truly exceptional bottle, however, Curtain Bluff boasts one of the finest wine cellars in the Caribbean. Our sommelier sources wines from nearly a dozen countries, stocking our cellar with more than 4,000 selections. Its four treatment rooms boast spectacular views over the water to distant Montserrat, Cades Reef, St. Kitts, Nevis, and Redonda. Before your treatment, unwind on the terrace sipping tea brewed from fresh herbs picked from the spa’s garden. Afterwards, allow your mind to wander and your body to decompress in our luxurious cliffside soaking tub over-indulgent refreshments.
