First built in the 1940s, the villa was then redesigned by Oliver Messel in the 1960s, with the current owners dutifully maintaining the theatrical ambiance. Guests have an attentive and highly-trained staff at their beck and call, all supervised by a villa manager.
A stay at Crystal Springs includes use of a luxurious 18ft speedboat, fully-equipped for waterskiing and other water activities (fuel costs are charged to guests). A 30ft Boston Whaler is also available to hire out at cost for cruising and deep sea fishing excursions. There is also a home theatre and mini-gym for your convenience at the property.

Bedrooms
The bedrooms are split between sections of the property with 3 in the main house, 2 in an annex, one in the cottage area and 2 in the pavilion. 5 of the rooms have a small fridge and 4 have a kettle as well for your convenience.
The master bedroom in the main house and the cottage bedroom both have four-poster king size beds, all of the other bedrooms feature twin beds that can be pushed together or separated to suit.
There are 7 en-suite bathrooms featuring a mixture of tub/showers and showers only, the remaining bathroom is adjacent to one of the main house bedrooms.
Communal Areas
Situated on a total of 1.7 acres, the property is creatively arranged around the grounds, with a bridge spanning a natural water course that bisects the villa. There is also a lovely swimming pool with a generous size of 22ft x 45ft, and steps lead down from the outdoor terrace to a secluded swimming cove where there is ample space to sunbathe as well if you wish.
Amenities inside include a 48” flat screen cable TV in the living area, WiFi access in the annex and main house, a fax machine, stereo system and personal home theatre for enjoying blockbusters with friends and family.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped, featuring cascading waterfalls and fountain pools. A short distance away from the property you have access to golf and tennis at Sandy Lane or the Sugar Hill Club.
Staff
You have access to an attentive staff comprising of butler, cook, housekeepers, laundress and boatman. The chef is able to prepare three meals a day – breakfast lunch and dinner.
Please note that our housekeepers are not trained nannies and should not be expected to look after and/or babysit infants and children. If you do make babysitting arrangements with the staff, please be advised this is at your own risk.
The levy on accommodation, collected in resort, will cost between US$2.50 (£1.90) and $17.50 (£14.50 for 5* Hotels) per room per night until VAT doubles to 15% in 2020 as set by Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Mottley.
