The views stretch down the lush hillside to the ocean far below and will simply take your breath away.  The resort is centred on a holistic approach to relaxation, a philosophy that includes not only the spa, but the cuisine and natural energy of the place, all in an attempt to encourage healthy living and promote a sense of wellbeing.  There are a number of packages on offer that tailors to those seeking something extra: from pregnancy spa packages to romance, wedding and honeymoon packages.

This resort enables you to enjoy the privacy of its hillside location, and benefits from the beautiful Montpelier Beach only 15 minutes drive away.  An exclusive private cove for guests on one of the best beaches on the island.  It has its own bar lounge and a number of cushions to let you relax and enjoy a lazy day or a pre-dinner drink before heading back to the hotel.

Food is all sourced locally and only adds to the healthy message – or if you want to spend the afternoon at the beach then the staff are more than happy to prepare a picnic lunch for you to enjoy by the sea.

Rooms at Montpelier Plantation 

Designed to instil a sense of intimacy and with a distinct plantation style allowing you to move effortlessly around the resort, the rooms benefit from air conditioning accompanying the natural cooling trade winds.  Rooms have a canopy or four-poster king size bed (or twins), direct dial telephone, ironing facilities, safe, hair dryer, fridge, private veranda, bathroom with tub/shower and tea/coffee maker.  Villas benefit from a flat screen TV, ipod docks, WiFi hotspots and nespresso machines.  All rooms and suites sleep up to 3 people.  The Villas sleep 4.

Premier Rooms

Scattered around the hillside, these semi-detached cottages contain these spacious rooms.  Views are of across the valley and down to the ocean.  Rooms have tiled floors and whitewashed walls, fine wooden fixtures and furniture, louvered windows and a private terrace.  The bathrooms have a full size tub and shower and include a welcome amenity pack.

Plantation Rooms

Offering a higher level of luxury and comfortable king size beds, they offer a similar specification to the Premier Rooms but with restyled tile/wooden flooring and new decor throughout especially in the lavishly-appointed bathrooms.

The Garden Suite

Split-level with an open-plan bedroom and living area presented in a contemporary style but maintaining the plantation feel.  Raised flooring, a walk-in shower, four-poster king size bed and wide windows allowing a natural airflow.  Modern features are not lacking however and there is a Nespresso coffee machine, wet bar, air conditioning, ipod dock and WiFi access.  An outdoor gazebo offers a private haven to admire the views from the oversized couch.  The adjacent plantation room can be connected to create a two-bedroom suite.

Tamarind Villa

A lovely two-bedroom cottage with views over the gardens and the sea on one side, and Nevis Peak on the other.  A great location and a spacious interior with living room opening onto two porches and a sundeck with an inviting plunge pool.  A full compliment of entertainment is on offer with internet, TV, DVD player, CD and MP3 station.  There is a wet bar, Nespresso machine and tea kettle.  The two bedrooms have air conditioning  and fans, en-suites and semi-outdoor showers and bathtubs.

The Little House

A traditional style house dating back to the late 1700s set on its own 2 acre plot of land a short walk from the main buildings.  Breathtaking views of the gardens and the sea below, and Nevis Peak can be hard from this stunning villa.  Restored but maintaining its historic charm, the bedrooms and living room have air conditioning, the master bedroom has a king size bed while the second has two singles.  A full kitchen can be stocked by request, and there is a comprehensive entertainment package.  The bathroom is shared between the bedrooms.

Restaurants & Bars

Taking pride in using local produce, poultry and fish, the restaurant is committed to preserving Nevis.  Menus reflect the island culture and grace and are a great way to start your day with fresh fruit and just-baked breads, an afternoon tea served poolside, or a gourmet evening meal.

Restaurant 750 – Al fresco dining at its best with views down over the lights of Charlestown and nearby St Kitts, this is Montpelier Plantation’s AAA 4 Diamond restaurant.

The Mill – a historic sugar mill converted into a restaurant, one of a kind in the world.  Original steps, flooring and stonewalls mean the setting is truly magical.

Special occasions can be catered for and a perfect venue in the grounds will be arranged upon request.

Weddings at Montpelier Plantation
