Building upon their ongoing commitment to invest into the customer experience at The Landings Resort and Spa, we are excited to announce that the Callaloo Restaurant will be enjoying further upgrades to its food and beverage offering. They will be revamping our popular “toes in the sand” restaurant and introduce a new vibrant Caribbean dining concept inspired by effortless luxury.
The design of the new Callaloo was conceptualized as a casual and slightly elegant tropical beach pavilion; a place where guests could hang out and have a drink, sample some locally inspired food in the shade after a swim or catch the sunset. The design takes inspiration from the humble vernacular architecture of Saint Lucia; incorporating shiplap boards and louver windows with straight lines, white and wood tones and splashes of color. This makes for a fresh yet locally inspired aesthetic which provides a pleasant atmosphere for guests.
The new Callaloo also includes a dining pergola which provides shaded and covered outdoor seating for dining directly on the sand. It is anticipated that the new Callaloo will provide the perfect setting for dining on the beach both during the day and in the evenings.
Additionally, recent improvements to the menu offering have already been well received by all of the guests. Earlier this year, multiple-award winning Chef John Hazzard was appointed Executive Chef at The Landings Resort and Spa, overseeing the culinary experience at our three restaurants – Callaloo, The Beach Club and The Palms.
