Privately-owned for over 50 years, Curtain Bluff has maintained its initial roots and continues to appeal to discerning travellers who are seeking a world-class Caribbean destination. Luxurious accommodation and excellent cuisine is married with quality service and a fabulous ocean-side spa.
Completely refurbished deluxe rooms and junior suites ooze with class and elegance, and the lavish Grace Bay & Morris Bay suites are considered the best and most sumptuous on the island, and arguably in the Caribbean. A resort built for the family, as the children can learn to sail, swim or partake in any of the other water sports on offer, while mum and dad can relax on the beach or treat themselves at the excellent spa.
Boasting 3 tennis tournaments every year, featuring the likes of Fred Stolle, Ross Case and Davis Cup champion Dick Stockton, as well as the world-famous Antigua Sailing Week. Taking place at the end of April, the sailing week was created by the hotel’s late owner Howard Hulford. Earlier in the month during the Antigua Classic Regatta, over 100 beautifully historic yachts sail past the hotel and the bluff.
A charitable resort as well, the hotel’s Old Road Fund helps to raise money for the local community and for teen camps in the US, as well as clothes, equipment and scholarships. Housed below Curtain Bluff lies one of the finest and extensive wine cellars in the Caribbean – over 25,000 bottles!
