Pros:

Culinary Excellence

The meals at Six Senses La Sagesse are a highlight, particularly for meat and fish lovers. Every dish I tried was delicious and fresh, clearly reflecting the use of local ingredients. The attention to culinary detail elevates the dining experience, making each meal memorable.

Thoughtful Amenities

Small touches like popcorn around the pool and refreshing coconut water show the resort’s commitment to enhancing guest comfort. These thoughtful details add a unique charm to the stay, making relaxation even more enjoyable.

Inclusive Mini Bar

The mini bar in the room is a delightful inclusion, featuring soft drinks, beers, and sparkling wine at breakfast. This thoughtful addition enhances the feeling of luxury and convenience, allowing guests to enjoy their favorite beverages without extra cost.

Outstanding Staff

The staff at Six Senses La Sagesse is exceptional, offering some of the quickest and most attentive service I’ve experienced in the Caribbean. Their dedication and friendliness significantly enhance the overall guest experience, making every interaction pleasant and efficient.

Luxurious Accommodations

All rooms come with private pools, are beautifully decorated, and spacious. This combination of privacy, luxury, and comfort makes for an ideal retreat, allowing guests to relax in style and seclusion.

Excellent Facilities

The resort boasts an impressive range of facilities, including a great spa, gym, outdoor gym, and a running route. The main pool area is lovely, providing a perfect spot for relaxation and enjoyment. These amenities cater to both fitness enthusiasts and those looking to unwind.

Sustainability Activities

Six Senses La Sagesse stands out for its commitment to sustainability, offering activities such as a fermentation lab, earth lab, and other eco-friendly events. These initiatives not only educate but also allow guests to engage in meaningful and enjoyable experiences.

Areas to Improve:

There are not many areas I would change at Six Senses La Sagasse but here are two you should be aware of:

Beach Quality

One area that could use improvement is the beach. During my stay, there was a significant amount of seaweed, which I learned is seasonal. However, the beach is never going to be a pristine white sand paradise. While this might not be a deal-breaker for everyone, it’s worth noting if a perfect beach is a priority for you.

Soft Drink Policy

In line with Six Senses’ policy, no soft drinks are available, which I found somewhat restrictive. It might be beneficial for the resort to revisit this policy, considering guest preferences and comfort.

Dining Costs

While the food is excellent, it’s important to note that dining at Six Senses La Sagesse is not cheap. The average cost for lunch is around $55 per person, and dinner can be approximately $150 per person including a couple of drinks. This is in line with all other 5* hotels in the Caribbean but it is something to be mindful of. The food is most defintely worth it however!

Final Thoughts

Six Senses La Sagesse is a luxurious retreat that excels in many areas, particularly in providing excellent meals, thoughtful amenities, and outstanding service. The accommodations and facilities are top-notch, and the resort’s commitment to sustainability is commendable. While there are areas that could be improved, such as the beach quality and dining costs, the overall experience is highly positive. If you’re looking for a unique, luxurious, and eco-friendly escape in the Caribbean, Six Senses La Sagesse is definitely worth considering.
