Tormorden is set in the quiet residential area of Gibbs Glade just inland from the beautiful pristine beaches of Barbados’ west coast. Traditionally styled with native coral stone and designed so that all the rooms can enjoy the cooling tropical breezes.
The surroundings comprise of lush tropical gardens, with the pool area a soothing oasis from the warm sunshine. Perfectly located a short 5 minute walk from Gibbs Beach and only a 10 minute drive from historic Speightstown and Holetown, with their shopping, bars and restaurants.
Tormorden is a great choice for families and groups who want a truly relaxing holiday. You are greeted on arrival by rum punch and fish cakes, and the large decking area is secluded and private – perfect for topping up the tan!
Please note that smoking is not permitted indoors or anywhere on the grounds.
Bedrooms
The three bedrooms in the villa are all air conditioned and feature en-suite facilities with shower only and double or single vanities.
The master bedroom features a king size bed while bedrooms 2 and 3 have two twin beds that can be pushed together to form a king size bed.
Communal Areas
Spacious and modern, the villa features cooling tile flooring and bare coral stone walls throughout, showcasing the natural resources of the Caribbean in style. The rooms are light and airy with fans to cool you down and splashes of artwork on the walls, with comfortable furnishings in the indoors and outside seating area.
The living room opens out onto a covered terrace with tables and chairs suited to al fresco dining, all looking out onto the gardens and the spacious pool with its decking and sun loungers.
Staff
There is a housekeeper and a cook at the villa who can prepare for you two consecutive meals a day – a choice of breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner.
Please note that our housekeepers are not trained nannies and should not be expected to look after and/or babysit infants and children. If you do make babysitting arrangements with the staff, please be advised this is at your own risk.
NB: Prices are subject to VAT at 7.5% and are based on maximum occupancy.
The levy on accommodation, collected in resort, will cost between US$2.50 (£1.90) and $17.50 (£14.50 for 5* Hotels) per room per night until VAT doubles to 15% in 2020 as set by Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Mottley.
